Warranty and Repairs

Warranty

All COQUINE products are covered by a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers manufacturing defects and any defects existing at the time of purchase.

The warranty does not apply in the following cases:

   – Damage caused by improper use, drops, and/or impacts, such as scratches, breaks, or other deformations;

   – Natural wear and tear resulting from normal use of the item, whether from the gold plating or the original oxidation;

   – Oxidation, discoloration, and/or other effects on the gold plating caused by improper care of the item, particularly contact with chemicals (such as perfumes, creams, chlorine, detergents, makeup…);

   – The item has been modified and/or repaired by the customer or a third party.

 

To activate the warranty, you must present proof of purchase. You can activate the warranty by sending an email to hello@coquinejewelry.com. In the email you send us, please indicate the reason for invoking the warranty and, if possible, attach photos of the item so that we can assess whether or not the situation is covered by the warranty. You will receive an email confirming receipt of the warranty claim, after which we will conduct a preliminary assessment of the item’s condition. Within 5 business days, you will receive an email from us regarding the acceptance or rejection of the warranty claim. If our preliminary assessment determines that the item is covered by the warranty, we will ask you to mail or drop off the item at a COQUINE store so that it can be repaired or exchanged. Any shipping costs associated with this will be covered by COQUINE. Once we receive the item, we will send you an estimate of the time required for the repair as soon as possible or, if applicable, we will immediately exchange the jewelry.

 

 Repairs

Gold Plating

Given the nature of the materials, we cannot guarantee that gold plating will last forever. Gold-plated items are more prone to wear and may lose their color over time. The rate at which this occurs is related to factors beyond COQUINE’s control, such as skin pH, perspiration, contact with chemicals, perfumes, water… We would be happy to receive the pieces for a new plating, but this will be a repair with an associated cost.

Other Repairs

Whenever you bring us jewelry for repair that involves a cost, you will receive a quote in advance for approval before the repair process begins. Since some repairs are simpler and faster, while others are more complex, COQUINE cannot commit to an estimated delivery time. Along with the quote, the customer will receive an estimate of how long the repair will take.
